Been listening to a lot of Jim Noir recently, his album is really growing on me :)

The lyrics are deceptively clever, the songs are Donovan-esque with Pet Sounds harmonies...

And then intrigued by the lyrics I found this, which one of us hasn't felt this way at some time or another?

It started as a bit of a last minute thing. I spoke to Mum yesterday and asked if she would like a visitor for the weekend. I went home last night, cooked a lovely Casserole and did my washing and packed.

I drove down to Mums straight from work today, it was not a bad run, it took about 2 hours.

Mum had cooked a Minestrone soup (very yummy :) and we had the Christmas Pud I brought back in November for desert.

We're now sitting down chilling nicely :) and we're off shopping tomorrow.

How can I convert cups into grammes? It seems like every substance measured in cups (e.g. butter, flour, sugar etc) has a different weight!

I found what looks like a good spag carbonara recipe but how much is 1/2 cup Parmesan in g?

I've been house hunting this week with my boss Dave and his partner Jo. I found a really nice house in a little Leicestershire Village and put in an offer...

Well more acurately Jo said "This could be worth a sniff" after I'd rejected the details (In my defence I should add I was probably suffering from house details overload) and I went back and had another look - I'm very glad I did.

The Estate Agent (Thats Realtor to you bambier :) phoned this evening and they've accepted my offer. I've got provisional acceptance on my mortgage and tomorrow, I'm sorting out a solicitor :)

It all feels kinda scary, in a nice way.... In many ways I still feel like a kid, doing something this grown up seems strange....

All for only £25.00 bargains RAR! Now all I need to do is get The Bends and I've back-filled my Radiohead collection :)

Went out for a beer with an old friend this evening, went to my (old) local when I used to live in Watford full time. It was really good to catch up on some gossip and see some familiar faces :)
